HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL Stevens, Hunkus pace Girard to 10th victory

Lakeview and Champion also posted Trumbull Athletic Conference wins.
NEWTON FALLS -- Erin Stevens scored seven points, with two aces, to lead Girard High over Newton Falls 15-7, 15-2, in a Trumbull Athletic Conference volleyball match Wednesday.
Teale Hunkus had 18 kills, four blocks and five digs for the Indians (10-4).
Jessi Garret led the Tigers (3-9) with four points and two aces, while Allison Huber had four kills.
Lakeview 15-15, LaBrae 6-4: CORTLAND -- Shanina Vencel scored 11 points with three aces to pace the Bulldogs (9-4, 7-3 TAC). Megan Taylor had six assists and five digs, while Heidi Kracker had four blocks.
Amanda Gordon led the Vikings (5-9, 1-8) with five kills and three blocks.
Champion 15-15, Badger 0-2: CHAMPION -- Rosie Holmes scored 10 points, with three aces, five digs, 14 assists and two kills for the Golden Flashes (8-4, 6-4 TAC). Michelle Canatsey had five points, three aces, four kills, four assists and six digs.
Maplewood 15-15, Fairport Harbor 13-4: MECCA -- Joni Shelton scored 10 points, with four kills to spark the Rockets (14-2, 10-0 East Suburban Conference). Christen Clemson had 10 kills and six blocks.
Kim Kennedy led Fairport Harbor (6-5, 5-5) with four points and four kills.
Campbell Memorial 3-15-16, Struthers 15-11-14: CAMPBELL -- Candace Hrelec scored eight points to lead the Red Devils (3-6). Anna Zembillas had five kills and Anna DiRienzo had 15 assists.
Jackie Trevis led the Wildcats (5-7) with 10 kills, while Stephanie Munteam had 13 assists and Tiffany Rovenolt had six digs.
Western Reserve 15-15, Sebring 8-5: SEBRING -- Anna Marie Riccardi had five kills, four blocks, eight digs and two points to lead Western Reserve (4-8). Tiffany Palumbo had three kills, three assists and five points and Theresa Polack had two kills, one ace and eight points.
North Canton Hoover 15-15, Salem 11-11: SALEM -- Taylor Hendricks had an ace and eight kills for Salem (10-5). Tiffanie Heestand had two aces, four kills, one tip and one block, and Lauren Teal had two aces and four kills.
