The ninth annual Heritage Festival will be Saturday and Sept. 30 at McConnell's Mill State Park. The event centers on the operational era of the park's Old Mill, 1852-1928. There will be period music, artisans, crafts, food, an American Indian village and a Civil War encampment. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 30 at Kildoo Picnic Area. Admission and parking are free.
Directions: Exit 99 off Interstate 79, west onto U.S. Route 422, past Route 19, left into the park. Follow park signs.
