The House approved legislation to appropriate $40 billion for disaster relief, anti-terrorism initiatives and recovery efforts after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11. The vote was 422-0.

Use of Armed Forces

The House approved a resolution authorizing the use of the Armed Forces against those responsible for the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11. The vote was 420-1.

YES

Ohio: Traficant, Brown and Ney.

Pa.: English and Hart.

SENATE

Disaster relief

The Senate also approved legislation to appropriate $40 billion for disaster relief, anti-terrorism initiatives and recovery efforts after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11. The vote was 96-0.
