Dinner and family celebration mark Mr. and Mrs. Ball's 60th anniversary

PETERSBURG -- The 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Gilmer Ball, 13007 Harman Road, is being observed today during a dinner at Heck's Restaurant, and a celebration at their home.
Hosts of the dinner are the honorees' children and their spouses, Terry and Carol Ball of Petersburg, Renee and Michael Stewart of Cortland and Margie Coblentz of Struthers, who was married to their son, the late Gilmer "Bucky" Ball. The family circle also includes six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
St. John Lutheran Church was the setting as the former Ethel Kimble and Mr. Ball exchanged marriage vows Sept. 12, 1941.
Now retired, Mrs. Ball worked at the former Strouss department store in Boardman.
Mr. Ball retired in 1982 from Coastal Tank Lines in Niles.He is a member of the Teamsters Retirement Club, Local 377.
Mr. and Mrs. Ball are members of St. John Lutheran Church.
