ASSOCIATIONS

XMahoning Retired Teachers Association will have a luncheon and meeting Wednesday beginning with a social hour at 11 a.m. The speaker will be James Baxter, president of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association, and new retirees will be introduced. XYo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will observe the organization's 55th anniversary at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Youngstown Club. Sandy Furano and Kathy Schlarb of the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center will present Microsoft Office User Specialist certifications. ATHLETIC CLUBS

XMcDonald Midget Football Association will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

XMcDonald Sideliners meets at 7 p.m. every Tuesday in the Blue Devil Room at the high school.

AUXILIARIES

XITAM Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the clubroom with Lou Sigler presiding. Election of officers will be held, and Lydia Benish will be in charge of lunch.

XK. of C. Auxiliary will hold their first meeting of the fall season at 7 p.m. Monday in the club hall.

XK. of C. Ladies of Father Gallagher Council 3144 will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the VFW Hall, Dorsett Avenue, Youngstown. A farewell party will be held for Edna Eitmiller, who is moving to Reno, Nev. Hostess will be Jean Pompura. A tour of The Butler Institute of American Art will follow at 1 p.m.

XK.C. Ettes of Poland will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the clubroom. After a casserole and meeting, a comedian will provide the entertainment. Members should take table service. Hostesses will be Mary Ann Komara, Dorothy Higbee and Teresa Datilo.

XSt. Elizabeth Health Center Auxiliary will open its fall season with a noon luncheon meeting in the center's second-floor dining room. Plans will be completed for the apparel sale scheduled Sept. 18 and 19 at the Park Avenue entrance lobby. Proceeds will benefit the Guest House.

XStruthers K. of C. Ladies will leave at 5 p.m. Monday from Transit Tours, Youngstown-Poland Road, for a trip to Mountaineer Park in West Virginia.

XVFW Post 3538 Auxiliary of Struthers will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the post. Dues for 2002 are payable.

XQuota International of Youngstown will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the craft room at Park Vista Retirement Center. The program will focus on plans for the Sixth District Conference Sept. 28-30 in Athens.

POLITICAL CLUBS

XStruthers Federated Democratic Women will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Struthers City Hall. Plans for the Greek Town bus trip will be discussed. Hostesses will be Pearl Morell and Doris Hawk.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

XCourt St. Ann 1875, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will meet Monday after the noon Mass at Holy Name Church. There will be a show-and-tell, and salad and pizza will be served.

XMount Carmel Society of St. Rose Church will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the parish house.

XSt. Monica Guild of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday with Alice Rossi presiding. Hostesses will be Donnetta and Sherry Vechiarelli, Linda Vinion, Carol Amicone and Theresa Anness.

XSt. Rose Catholic Women's Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the parish house dining room.

XSt. Vincent DePaul Society of St. Rose Church will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

XA meeting of Tod Avenue United Methodist Church Women will be held Wednesday. A covered dish dinner will begin at 6 p.m. for all women and men of the church, and a housewares party will be presented by Kim Buratti.

XTrinity United Methodist Women will open its autumn season with its annual chicken salad luncheon Thursday. The executive committee will meet at 10 a.m. in the conference room, and the circles will meet in their rooms at 11. Lunch will be served at noon with Naomi Circle members as hostesses. Helen Rudibaugh will give the invocation, and Eloise Organ will lead devotions. Martha Sulik will present the worship center. Speaker will be Millicent Counts of the United Methodist Community Center on "God's People in an Urban Culture." Cost for the luncheon is $3.

SERVICE CLUBS

XGirard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Girard Grill.

XGirard-Liberty Rotary will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the MetroPlex Centre, Liberty.

XVienna Kiwanis will have a dinner meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Vienna Presbyterian Church, Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna Center.

SINGLES

XD.A.R.E. members will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at Movies 8 in Boardman. Bowling is planned for 8:30 p.m. Saturday at a cost of $5 with a D.A.R.E. card and $6 without. The group will attend the SFAR dance at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Avalon Inn in Howland. Cost is $4. A board meeting and social are planned for 7 p.m. Monday at Panera Bread in Boardman. XGrief Recovery Instruction Support Group will begin at series of meetings at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home Care Center, 709 N. Main St., Hubbard. The group is led by Philip Roland and is open to anyone who has suffered the loss of a loved one.
