Published: Sun, September 2, 2001 @ 12:00 a.m.

YOUNGSTOWN -- A family dinner party was held Sept. 1 at TJ's Lounge in the Holiday Inn, Boardman, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Horvath, 398 Jaronte Drive, who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

Arrangements for the event were made by their family, Patti and Steve Hill of Girard, Joseph Horvath of Boardman, Donna Firmstone of Struthers and Steve Horvath of Austintown. The couple's six grandchildren participated.

St. Anne Church was the setting Sept. 1, 1951, as Mr. Horvath and the former Phyllis Arditi were united in marriage. They are members of St. Charles Church, Boardman.

Mrs. Horvath was a cafeteria manager with Boardman Local Schools prior to retiring in 1994. She belongs to Semper Amicus.

A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Horvath retired in 1994 from General Motors Fabrication Plant in Lordstown, where he was a coil checker.
