GARDEN CLUBS

WEDNESDAY

XA potluck lunch will be featured when members of Mahoning meet at noon at the home of Raenette Meyer. The program will be a flower show to be judged by Evelyn Resek, and the fund-raiser will benefit Habitat for Humanity. Hostesses will be Dorothy Demen and Joyce Cervone.

XThe Men's Garden Club of Youngstown will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Boardman Township Park Community Center. A program on spring bulbs will be presented by Gordon Vujevic. Anyone interested in the program is welcome. For more information call Leno Laner, (330) 542-3090.

THURSDAY

XGarden Forum executive board meeting will be held at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center. The horticulture show is set for Sept. 8 and 9, with entries being accepted from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Sept. 8 and the display being open to the public from 1 to 5 p.m. that day and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 9.

XSt. Charles will meet at 7 p.m. with Kate Jankiewicz, Theresa Kelly and Jean Kenney as hostesses. Members are to take a mechanic box for a Halloween craft.

XAt 6 p.m. Sweetbrier members will have a guided tour of the education center conducted by a horticulturist. Erma Adams will be hostess.

XGarden club events are published Sundays. The deadline is noon Thursday.
