BOARDMAN -- The wedding of Deanna Marie Longo and Tom Spirko, both of Boardman, took place at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at St. Charles Church. The Rev. Dan Venglarik presided.
The bride's parents are Randy and Kathleen Booze, Leavittsburg, and the groom is a son of Robert and Marge Spirko, Canfield.
The couple were honored during a reception at the Maronite Center, Youngstown, and left on a wedding trip to Port Clinton and Canada. They live in Boardman.
Lace, pearls and sequins embellished the bride's white satin gown. It was designed with a wedding band neckline, illusion yoke and sleeves, and a detachable chapel train.
Burgundy gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Adrianne Longo, the bride's sister, and Dalene Lawless, her cousin, and by the bridesmaids, Sandy Spirko, the groom's sister-in-law; Erica Shonn; Charlaunda Howard; Lori Cruz; and Lindsey Stassinis. Flower girl was the bride's cousin, Samantha Lawless.
Best man was the groom's brother, Tim Spirko, and groomsmen were Joe Longo, the bride's brother; Jason Velazquez; Gene Washington; Ted Szmaj; Greg Szmaj; and Jim Bednar. Ring bearer was his nephew, Koty Wine, and ushers were her cousin, Dale Lawless, and her stepbrother, Ralph Booze.
The bride is an in-home health employee with Home Care Network and is pursuing a degree in nursing-home administration and sociology at Youngstown State University. The groom is a customer-service foreman with Simon Roofing.
