Summary of police activity:

CANFIELD CITY

Nov. 11

Burglary: Jewelry was reported stolen from a residence in the 20 block of Montgomery Drive. The owner found the front door kicked in and the house ransacked. Three hundred or more pieces of jewelry were stolen.

Nov. 13

Mail concerns: A resident of the 70 block of Sleepy Hollow Drive reported that she did not receive her mail from Nov. 7 to 10, although she saw the mailman deliver it. She reported she was waiting for a check that did not come.

Nov. 15

Theft: The center piece on a hubcap of a student's Pontiac Grand Am was reported stolen from the parking lot of the Mahoning County Joint Vocational School.

AUSTINTOWN

Nov. 11

Theft: Checks were reported stolen from a residence in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Criminal damage: A 21-year-old man threw a television set through a window at a residence in the 4000 block of New Road.

Nov. 12

Breaking and entering: A total of 195 cartons of cigarettes were stolen after entry was gained through the roof at Valley View Gas station, 3605 Mahoning Ave.

Breaking and entering: A safe was damaged at Ponderosa Steak House, 4626 Mahoning Ave., but nothing was taken.

Receiving stolen property: A man was arrested in a stolen vehicle at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A $576 bank deposit for Little Caesar's Pizza, 1698 S. Raccoon Road, was reported stolen.

Theft: Police arrested two men on suspicion of theft at Giant Eagle.

Nov. 13

Theft: A handgun and money were reported as having been stolen in March in the 3000 block of 42nd Street.

Criminal damage: Two tires were punctured on a vehicle parked in the 3000 block of Black Oak Lane.

Criminal damage: A socket wrench was thrown into the window of a residence in the 100 block of North Roanoke Avenue.

Auto theft: A 1991 white Chevrolet Astro van was reported stolen from the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Nov. 14

Theft: Two trucks were broken into at Card Transportation Inc., 80 Victoria Road.

Theft: Building materials were stolen from the 100 block of Backwater Cove.

Theft: Money was paid for home improvements but the work was never started at a residence in the 300 block of Sandburg Drive.

Theft: A spare tire cover was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Nov. 15

Theft: A United Parcel Service delivery was stolen from a residence in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Criminal damage: Graffiti was reported on a building at Austintown Plaza, 6000 Mahoning.

Nov. 16

Criminal damage: A vehicle was scratched in the residential 4000 block of New Road.

Drug offense: Police arrested a man suspected of possessing cocaine after a traffic stop at state Route 46 and Interstate 80.

Theft: A woman was arrested on charges of theft at Payless Shoe Source, 6000 Mahoning.

Criminal damage: A mailbox and post were damaged in the 4000 block of Timberbrook Drive.

Theft: A state-owned vehicle was broken into in the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Theft: Building materials were stolen from the 100 block of Fitch Boulevard.

Breaking and entering: A shed was broken into but nothing was stolen in the 400 block of South Canfield-Niles Road.

Burglary: Money and bills were taken but no forced entry was found at a residence in the 4000 block of Rhode Island Drive.

Theft: A total of $150 was removed from a checking account at Bank One, 5531 Mahoning.

Theft: A purse was stolen from a business at Kennco, 5212 Mahoning.

Burglary: Beer and wine were stolen and the kitchen door and knob were damaged at a residence in the 200 block of Carnegie Avenue.

Criminal damage: Eighty feet of lawn was damaged in the front yard of a residence in the 4000 block of Heritage Drive.

Nov. 17

Criminal damage: Windows were broken out of a vehicle at Micro Matic Tools, 220 Victoria Road.

Criminal damage: Vinyl siding was damaged by a BB gun in the residential 3000 block of Black Oak Lane.
