BOARDMAN -- A reception was held Oct. 20 at St. Mary Assumption Social Hall in honor of Jerry Ross and his bride, the former Colleen Murphy, both of 3410 Flo-Lor Drive, Austintown, following their 1:30 p.m. wedding at St. James Meeting House.
The Rev. Norman Crewson presided.
The bride, a daughter of Patrick and Anne Murphy, 1861 McCollum Road, Youngstown, is a surgical technologist at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren. The groom, a son of Gerald Ross Sr., 3219 Quentin Drive, Youngstown, and the late Barbara Ross. is employed by Mahoning County Sanitary Engineers.
The newlyweds honeymooned at Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and live at the Flo-Lor Drive address.
Lace and pearls embellished the bride's white satin A-line gown. It was designed with a scooped neckline and featured a detachable cathedral train.
Winter melon-colored gowns were worn by Maggie Womer, the bride's sister and honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Mary Murphy, Maureen Turnbull and Kathy Lautner, also the bride's sisters; Kathy Murphy, her sister-in-law; Pam Simione, a sister of the groom; Lisa Spencer; and Megan Turillo.
The duties of best man were performed by Lou Yannerella, and serving as groomsmen were P.J. Murphy, a brother of the bride; John Womer, Dan Luthner and Tom Turnbull, her brothers-in-law; Frank Ross, the groom's brother; Don Simione, his brother-in-law; and Ed Chismar.
