AUSTINTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Hewitt of Austintown, who were married Nov. 29, 1941, in Gulfport, Miss., observed their 60th wedding anniversary during a family dinner party Sept. 22 at the Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman.
Arrangements for the celebration were made by the couple's children and their spouses, Barbara and Bill Cardarelli of Struthers, Linda and Phil Hulewat of Mentor, and Phyllis and Tom Murphy of Lake Placid, Fla. Also participating were their nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hewitt, the former Bobbie Nell Carter, is a homemaker.
Mr. Hewitt, who served as a master sergeant in the Army Air Corps at Kessler Air Field in Biloxi, Miss., is retired from U.S. Steel Ohio Works in Youngstown, where he was an engineer.
