COLUMBIANA -- Nuptial vows were exchanged at 2 p.m. Oct. 6 by Diane Marie Baker and Gregory Kent Barnes, both of 6051 Island Drive, Canton, as the couple were united in marriage by the Rev. Tom Ziegler at St. Jude Church.
After a reception at The Embassy in Youngstown, the couple left on a wedding trip to the Hawaiian island of Maui and, since returning, live in Canton.
The bride, a daughter of Kathy and Gary Baker, 128 Fifth St., graduated from Kent State University and is a registered nurse at Stark County Women's Clinic in Canton.
Russ and Diane Barnes, 322 Oak Court, are parents of the groom. He graduated from Ohio State University with an associate degree and is an assistant in shipping/receiving with Summit Homes in Canton.
The bride's white satin A-line gown was embellished with pearls and was designed with spaghetti straps and a chapel train.
Red gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Pam Metzinger, and the bridesmaids, Christy Sphon, Ann Massi, Allison Shaugnessy and Rhonda Baldwin. Flower girl was the groom's cousin, Elizabeth Wise.
Performing the duties of best man was the groom's cousin, Todd Hughes, and serving as groomsmen were Mike Bell, Dan Guardo and the groom's brothers, Geoff and Gary Barnes. Guests were ushered by the bride's brothers, Tom Baker and Dan Baker.
