ASSOCIATIONS

XNortheast Homeowners Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church. Speaker will be Sarah Brown Clark, clerk of courts.

XTrumbull Mahoning Ohio Association of Occupational Health Nurses will hold a nurse management dinner Tuesday at Abruzzi's Cafe 422, 4422 Youngstown Road S.E., Warren. The social hour at 6 p.m. will be followed by dinner at 6:30 and a program at 7 featuring Richard Patnode of the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, Division of Safety and Hygiene. Dinner selections are prime rib, orange roughy or stuffed chicken breast, and the cost is $20. Reservations are to be made with Lynn Gaudio at (330) 824-5323 or by fax at (330) 824-6036 today.

XWarren Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will meet for dinner Tuesday at Cafe 422. For reservations call Barb Weaver, (330) 898-3707, by noon Monday. Guest speaker will be Barbara Ewing, vice president of public policy for the Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce.

XA meeting of the William Penn Association, Branch 28 of Youngstown, will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the Country Kitchen in Boardman. Plans will be made for a children's Christmas party.

XYo-Mah-O Chapter, International Association of Administrative Professionals, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Lockwood House in Boardman, with Joan Battagline presiding. A program, "Caring for the Caregiver," will be presented by Vivian Barricella, staff development coordinator at Park Vista Retirement Community. A report on the international retirement center/ building fund will be given by Kathy Brown. Roseann DeSimone Cullen and Barbara Kramer are in charge of the program. AUXILIARIES

XPoland K.C. Ettes will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the council hall and will tour Schwebel's Bakery at 2.

XSt. Anthony Auxiliary will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Ground Round. Officers will be elected and dues collected. An update on the Christmas party to be held Dec. 11 at The Elm Tree will be given by Arlene DeChellis. A social hour will follow.

XSt. Elizabeth Health Center Auxiliary will elect officers during a noon meeting in the dining rooms on the second floor. Plans will be finalized for a book sale to be held Nov. 28-30. There will be a slide presentation featuring The Butler Institute of American Art.

XStruthers K.of C. 4224 Ladies will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the hall. There will be a white elephant sale and discussion of a Christmas dinner. Hostesses will be Betty Zebrowski and Dorothy Palascak.

XVFW Post 3538 Auxiliary of Struthers will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the post. Dues are to be paid.

XVFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the post home. Members are to take lap robes and female comfort items for the December District 8 meeting as well as new underclothes for the Rescue Mission for the Mahoning County council project.

CLASSES

XChaney High School January and June Classes of 1948 will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Charley's Restaurant on Kirk Road, Austintown. All class members and their spouses are welcome.

XEast High School Hall of Fame members will meet for breakfast at 8 a.m. Thursday at Smaldino's on Market Street.

CLUBS

XHubbard Fortnightly IV will meet Thursday at the home of Pat Morell with co-hostess Shirley Rosine. Those who can't attend should call the hostess.

XMembers of Italamer Club will celebrate its 67th anniversary at 1 p.m. Sunday at Bruno's Restaurant in Boardman. Ellen Mancini will preside, and hostesses will be Carmel DePaul, Mary Geraci, Rose Marie Wolf, Viola Pavlik and Marie L. Williams.

XMOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) will meet from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Old North Church in Canfield. For information call Sarah Barbee at (330) 332-1882. Child care will be available.

XA memorial Mass will be held by Niles K.of C. at 7 p.m. Tuesday with Monsignor Robert Reidy as celebrant. A social will follow. Guests are welcome.

XQuota International of Youngstown will meet for dinner at 6 p.m. Monday in the gathering room at Park Vista Retirement Home. The chapter's 79th anniversary will be observed, and a program will be presented by officers of the 6th District of Ohio.

XYoungstown Mothers of Twins Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday for a casserole dinner at the Davison-Becker Family Center in Struthers. Members are asked to take items for Thanksgiving baskets to be distributed by the Social Service Committee. Guest speakers will be Drs. Donald Brunetti and Douglas Styka on "Brighten Your Smile." Hostesses will be Mary Anne Peterson, Tammy McLaughlin, Melody Broderick and Gloria Brittain-Wilkin. Anyone interested in membership should contact Judy Ducay at (330) 792-6034.

COUNCILS

XA meeting of the K. of C. Father Gallagher Council 3144 will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the garden center in Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park. A luncheon and tour of the center and gardens are on the agenda. Hostess is Mary Ferenchik.

GUILDS

XWestern Reserve Knitting Guild will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for a holiday dinner at Fair Park in Canfield. Participants should take their own table service and casseroles to share. There will be a surprise program. Those attending should also take their knitting bags.

LEAGUES

XJunior League of Youngstown will hold a general membership meeting Tuesday at the Park Vista gathering room. The "Done-in-a-Day" project will begin at 6:45 p.m. followed by the meeting at 7 and a social. Guest speaker will be Rick Wilson on the topic of personal protection. Members are asked to take gently used magazines to share with Park Vista residents.

XA meeting of the Junior Women's League of Canfield will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Fair Park. The speaker will be a representative from the Community Chest. For more information call Lisa McCormick, (330) 533-2147.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

XBoardman United Methodist Women will hold a luncheon at noon Thursday at the fellowship hall. A talk on "Ladies at Butler" will be given by Carol O'Brien of The Butler Institute of American Art. The menu will feature chicken, meatballs and pasta, parsley potatoes, green beans, tossed salad, dessert and beverage. The cost is $6, and reservations are required by today. Checks made payable to the organization should be mailed to Bonnie Babyak, 6809 Market St., Boardman, Ohio 44512. Members have the option of taking a sack lunch, but must make a seating reservation by calling (330) 758-4527.

XDiocesan Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will meet Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church. The rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 10.

XSt. Monica Guild of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday with Alice Rossi presiding. Plans will be made for a Dec. 11 Christmas party. Hostesses will be Rose Marie Bisignani, Patricia Butto, Jeannette Caizza, Mary Lou Carbon and Marcia Carano.

XSt. Rose Catholic Women's Club of St. Rose Church, Girard, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the parish house dining room. Collette Johns will conduct a "Wine Tasting Gathering." Chairwoman will be Pat Lehner.

SERVICE CLUBS

XVienna Kiwanis will attend division council meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Tommies Wayside Restaurant, 825 State Road, Southington.

SINGLES

XD.A.R.E. will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at Movie 8 at the Shops at Boardman Park. There will be a dance Sunday at Choices in Liberty. Those who donate two cans of food will pay $2 for admission. A general meeting is planned at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Boardman Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman. Members will wrap shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. XSalem Area Singles will hold a house party at 6 p.m. Saturday at the home of Karen Plegge. Members are to take a covered dish and beverage. Volleyball is planned for 8 to 10 p.m. Monday, and members will play euchre at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Butler Grange. Cost for that event is $2. Dinner at Chi Chi's in Boardman is planned for 5:30 p.m. Nov. 17.

XSingle For Any Reason will meet for a card party at 7 p.m. today. Members will gather at 8 p.m. Saturday for a dance at the Niles Moose Club. There will be a D.A.R.E. dance Sunday at Choices in Liberty with a $4 charge. Members will dine out at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Racks on Route 169 in Niles and get together for karaoke at 8 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Moose Club. A Thanksgiving dinner is planned for 6 p.m. Nov. 28 at Old Country Buffet in Niles.

SOCIETIES

XThe Mahoning Chapter, Ohio Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, will hold a luncheon meeting at noon Tuesday at Poland United Methodist Church. Joanne Collier, regent, will preside, and Mrs. Charen Fink will present the program, "Women of the Civil War." Lory Gilk, Ohio Bicentennial Commission representative, will announce plans for the observance. The group will approve the budget and elect delegates to the Ohio Society and Continental Congress meetings. Phyllis Garwig is program chairman. Blanche Hillman will give the president general's message and Isabel Wymer, the national defense report.

XYoungstown Chapter of the American Society of Women Accountants will meet Wednesday at Austin Manor in Austintown. Nels E. Scheel, CPA, industry consultant, will speak on the "Purchase and Sale of a Small Business." The meeting is open to the public, but reservations are required. Cost, including dinner, is $15, and registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 6:15. SORORITIES

XBeta Pi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Boardman Public Library for a program on "Getting to Know You."

XGamma Epsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shepherd of the Valley in Poland. Hostess will be JoAnn Ellis, who will speak on retirement planning. A Christmas social is planned for 6 p.m. Dec. 12 at the same location, where Cynthia Bermann will serve as hostess and present a musical program.

SUPPORT GROUPS

XA meeting of the Attention Deficit Disorder Support Group will be held at 2 p.m. in the second floor club room at the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave. The speaker will be Kathy Baldwin of Finer Things Academy. Children should wear gym cloths and take a swimsuit and towel for swimming. For more information call (330) 746-6361.

XMended Hearts Chapter 7 of Warren will meet from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital meeting room 1. XVeterans of Foreign Wars, Post 5532, Washingtonville, will hold a free spaghetti dinner from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the post for all veterans, their spouses and spouses of deceased veterans. Those attending are asked to take mementos of military service to share. Membership in the VFW is not required.
