Prescription program

YOUNGSTOWN -- Dr. Mike Evan of Poland will discuss the Prescription Assistance Program at the Nov. 14 meeting of the Uptown Kiwanis Club at Johnny's Restaurant, 876 Midlothian Blvd. Through PAP, low-, moderate- and middle-income families may be eligible to get prescription medications free or at a reduced price. The program begins at 7:30 p.m. and is free, but seating is limited to the first 50 who arrive.

Flu shots available

Senior Independence Home Health Care offers flu shots from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday at Sunrise Homes, 335 W. McKinley Way, Poland, and from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Mahoning County Senior Center, 1110 Fifth Ave. The shots cost $15 and the clinics are open to anyone 18 and older.
