The city's board of control approve these spending items Thursday:
An agreement letting the city use federal funds in the Mini-Loan Program for the Youngstown-SBA Initiative. The program has $2 million, with about $700,000 of it on loan.
Rescinded an item to pay $13,467 each for two cars for the fire department inspectors, as requested by Fire Chief John J. O'Neill Jr., because the cars are no longer available.
Severance of $1,192 for Latonya D. Williams, a public health nurse in the health department who resigned Sept. 4.
Severance of $2,972 for Paul Livingston, a detective-sergeant in the police department who retired May 8.
Severance of $1,933 for William Torres, a garageman in the water department who resigned Aug. 17.
Severance of $5,367 for Alan L. Peplow, a meterman tester in the water department who retired Sept. 28.
Severance of $1,114 for Alan P. Burton, an office aide-draftsman who retired on disability June 1.
Severance of $310 for George M. Zenko, a maintenance helper in the water department who retired on disability April 6.
