BOARDMAN, CANFIELD Telemarketing company plans to open a new office, add jobs

A new call center is needed because the Austintown center is at capacity.
AUSTINTOWN -- Infocision Management Corp., which pulled out of a new office in Howland last year, plans to create a new call center in Boardman or Canfield and about 100 jobs.
The Akron-based marketing company said Wednesday that it will move about 80 workers from its large Austintown office to the new office.
Workers will be hired to replace those who are moving from Austintown and at least 20 others will be hired for the new office, said Steve Brubaker, senior vice president.
He said the company opened a call center in Howland last year but closed it when it wasn't able to recruit employees as well as it has in Austintown, where 525 people work.
Increasing business: The company is adding jobs because the Austintown center has been increasing its business, he said.
"Our clients continue to ask us to do more for them," he said.
The Austintown center has been an excellent location to recruit workers and is the company's largest call center, he said.
Infocision is looking to open a new center because the Austintown center is at capacity and can't be easily expanded, he said.
Division: Infocision intends to move workers who make calls on behalf of nonprofit agencies to the new office. Lease negotiations are ongoing and a site has not been announced.
Workers in this division recruit people to volunteer their time to mail pre-printed letters to their neighbors for nonprofit agencies.
Moving this division will allow the company to expand its division at the Austintown center which handles customer service calls for large companies.
Infocision opened its 23,000-square-foot center in Austintown in 1997.
Interviews: Infocision will be interviewing for the new positions Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. People can walk-in for an interview or call 1-877-INFOCISION, extension 1855, to schedule an interview.
The new center will be Infocision's seventh location in Ohio and West Virginia and give it more than 2,400 employees.
