Promotion for trooper

CANFIELD -- A promotion was planned today in Columbus for Sgt. Rudy Zemelka of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, who has been at the Canfield Post for 16 years. Zemelka, 50, and originally from St. Clairsville, will be elevated to lieutenant and take over command of the Hiram post, which handles the turnpike. Zemelka and his wife have two children, one of whom, Brant, is a trooper in St. Clairsville.
