Babe Ruth (Age 14-15)
Youngstown Express 2, Rondinelli Tuxedo 0 -- John Mang and Mark Delisio combined on a five-hitter. Brian Daugherty tripled and Adam Boris doubled and scored for Express. Dan Ford doubled twice for Rondinelli. Jay Yorty pitched a complete-game two-hitter.
Youngstown Express 10, I.P.S. 0 -- Adam Zakowski and Andy Todor combined on a three-hitter for Express. Grant Sevek had three singles and a pair of RBIs, while John Foty had an RBI triple.
Sluggers 9, Astro Falcons 2 -- Dan Balog hit two doubles and Tyler Stanley went 3-for-3. Dave Piersante added two hits. Aaron Pollack pitched three scoreless innings for the win, while reliever Bob Melnek struck out six.
Babe Ruth (Age 13)
Astro Falcons 15, East Side Kiwanis 0 -- Jim Phillis pitched a no-hitter, walking only two. David Vitko had two doubles and Billy Sattler singled three times.
Youngstown Express 7-10, Steubenville Convenient 0-4 -- David Patrick (3-0) pitched a two-hitter in the first game. Jared Bartholomew went 3-for-3. In the second game, Matt Bable pitched a three-hitter and singled twice. Mark Rossi doubled and singled, and Michael Rose singled twice. Express is 12-0.
Pony (Ages 13-14)
Austintown Quaker 9, Boardman Mayo and Orvets 1 -- Joe Mico's three hits included a homer. C.J. Learn also had three hits.
Canfield Anthem Blue Cross & amp; Shield 10, Columbiana Post 290 2 -- Tom Ivany drove in four runs with two homers. Joe Fox and C.J. Morris combined to toss a two-hitter. Joe Rosko, Kyle Banna, Chris Ulery and Jeff Moliterno each had two hits. For Columbiana, Drew Wagner tripled.
Austintown Quaker 3, Austintown 1 -- J.R. Miller, Mike Craig and Chuck Housteau each had an RBI, while C.J. Learn and Matt Cercone combined to pitch a six-hitter.
Austintown Landmark 15, Niles Hangware Trophy 2 -- Brad Learn and J.P. Davis each had three hits, while John Rosensteel, Tucker Truswell, Matt Scurti and Adam Hritz had two apiece. Mark Hammond doubled for Niles.
Canfield Electric Device 7, Austintown Landmark 4 -- Mike Hudoba's two hits included a double. John Pitzulo's double drove in two runs. Jake Mosure had two hits. For Landmark, Greg Ledesna's two hits included a double.
Poland Tangier's 9, New Middletown Lions 3 -- Winning pitcher Paul Hay allowed one hit and struck out six batters in five innings. Logan Price tripled and doubled, while Luke Blangero doubled. For the Lions, Julian Colaballa hit a two-run homer.
Canfield Anthem Blue Cross & amp; Shield 13, Niles Hangware Trophy 2 -- Joe Rosko's two hits included a grand slam. Joe Fox, Kyle Schuchler and C.J. Morris had two hits apiece. For Niles, Philip Zuzolo and Robbie Porter each had two hits.
Struthers Gridiron 5, Poland Caspary Realty 4 -- Rob Mistovich fired a four-hitter with six strikeouts. Mistovich also knocked in the go-ahead run with a single. Dave Matthews had two hits, while Dave Bowes and Joe Lariccia each doubled. Bob Haug's two hits for Poland included a homer.
Campbell West & amp; Barker 9, Struthers St. Anthony 4 -- Trey Soares scattered four hits and had 15 strikeouts for the winners. Justin Vrona had two hits. For Struthers, Dave Yash had two hits.
Pony (Ages 13-14)
Mill Creek Marlowe's Coffee 12, Struthers Home Savings 1 -- Danielle Spencer tossed a one-hitter and Amanda Ferrro and Sheila Kollar led the hitting attack for Marlowe. Krystle Long had the hit for Struthers.
