Published: Sat, May 19, 2001 @ 12:00 a.m.

ASHLAND -- Area softball teams had a hard time stopping Western Reserve High this year, but Mother Nature found a way.
The Western Reserve-Loudonville Division IV district final set for Friday was rained out and will be made up today at Brookside Park at 2 p.m.
The Blue Devils (18-4) will throw senior Jaclyn Speece (14-2).
This is the first trip to a district final by a Western Reserve softball team.
Regular season: HUBBARD -- Kelly Hudy's RBI double in the bottom of the eighth inning gave Hubbard a 1-0 win over LaBrae, the Eagles' 12th victory of the season.
Winning pitcher Lisa Yount scattered nine hits to improve her record to 11-10.
