ATHLETIC GROUPS

XMcDonald Midget Football Association will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

AUXILIARIES

XEagles 213 AuxiliaryE will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the hall, corner of South Avenue and Miller Street. A check will presented to Donna Foster, coordinator of Safe Kids coalition, who will be the speaker. Plans will be made to continue to provide financial support to other local organizations.

XEagles 3298 Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the aerie on Raccoon Road, Austintown. Hostesses will be Korriena Weir and Kathy Hinchcliffe.

XTrumbull County Firefighters Auxiliary will meet Tuesday at Warren Township 47 to finalize plans for serving as host auxiliary for the state conference in 2002. A regular meeting is planned for Wednesday at Burghill Vernon Fire Department.

CLASSES

XWomen of East High School June Class of 1944 will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bobby D's on Midlothian Boulevard. Lunch is held the third Tuesday of each month. All women class members are welcome.

CLUBS

XCasa Savoia will have a mother-daughter luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lockwood House in Boardman. For reservations call Laura Cherol, Evelyn Carbone or Josephine Carkido.

XChapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park. The program will be a tour. Margaret Meikle will serve as hostess.

XFriends of Boardman Library will meet Monday at the library for a social at 9:30 a.m. and business session at 10. A representative from Butler Institute of American Art will speak. Guests are welcome; no reservations are required.

XKent State University Mothers Club will meet at noon Wednesday at Old Country Buffet in Boardman. The program will be "Memories of KSU Mothers Club." Plans will be completed for the 2001-02 year. An afghan drawing will be held; members are asked to send tickets and/or money to Mary Schaade. Hostesses will be Marge Hamrock, Rose Maczko and Ann Birch. Prospective members are welcome. XThat Quilt Group I Belong To will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Park in Canfield. Karen Conley will be the speaker.

GUILDS

XMcDonald Literary Guild will meet at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Woodland Park United Methodist Church.

XPenn-Ohio Chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday in the first-floor meeting room of New Castle Public Library, 207 E. North St., New Castle, Pa. All interested stitchers are welcome. For more information call (724) 654-7928.

XAltar and Rosary Society of Our Lady of Perpetual Help will have its annual dinner at 6 p.m. May 22 at Jimmy Chieffo's Restaurant in Warren. Reservations should be made by calling Irene Kunkel at (330) 530-5037 by Monday.

XSt. Rose Catholic Women's Club will hold its spring banquet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the church basement. Lucy Corsale will be chairwoman.

SERVICE CLUBS

XGirard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Girard Masonic Temple.

XGirard-Liberty Rotary will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the MetroPlex Centre, Liberty.

SINGLES

XActivities planned for D.A.R.E. are as follows: a dance at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Choices in Liberty, cost is $4; a walk in Mill Creek Park at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday; and a general meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Boardman Christian Church. XSalem Area Singles will attend the D.A.R.E. dance Sunday. Euchre is planned for May 18 at the Butler Grange, and a "Bowling Extravaganza" is set for May 19 at Boardman Lanes, with registration from 7:15 to 7:45 p.m. and bowling beginning at 8. XCancer Patient Support Group will meet from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Oncology Conference Room at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital for people living with cancer, their friends and family. XFibromyalgia Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Boardman. Speaker will be Theresa O'Connor, a registered and licensed dietitian and certified diabetes educator with Forum Health Northside Medical Center.

XMcDonald Chapter of TOPS meets at 8:30 a.m. Wednesdays in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

XRTS Bereavement Services, a support group for families who have lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death, will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Reservations are required. To make reservations or for more information, call 330-740-3914.
