WARREN Group to honor 16, celebrate heritage

Two people have filed to run in the May 8 primary for four available seats on village council. Monday marks the deadline to file to run as an independent in the general election (* denotes incumbent):

RICHARD BIGGS (D)*

Age: 54.

Address: 6270 Highland Ave. S.W., Lordstown.

Employment: Teacher at Trumbull Career and Technical Center.

Education: Lordstown High School graduate.

Family: Wife, Theresa.

Priority if elected: "Controlled growth to better our village."

D. JAMES LONDON (D)

Age: 56.

Address: 6714 Helmick Drive S.W., Lordstown.

Employment: Driver at General Motors Lordstown Assembly Plant.

Education: Lordstown High School graduate; attended Warren Business College.

Family: Wife, Donna G.; two children.

Priority if elected: "I am not here to turn this community upside down but to listen and serve the citizens of this village. I would like to obtain new industry and/or businesses to locate here other than auto-related so all our income is not generated from one source."
