CHAMPION -- A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Peter Rossi & amp; Son Memorial Chapel, Warren, for Ruth A. Liphart, 86, of 4836 Hiram Ave. N.W., who died Monday morning in St. Joseph Health Center, Warren, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Liphart was born May 8, 1914, in Belsano, Pa., a daughter of Bert and Emma Carney Adams, and came to the area in 1954.
She attended Indiana State Teachers College in Indiana, Pa., and retired as cafeteria supervisor of Champion School System after working there 25 years. She was a member of Champion Presbyterian Church and its Ladies Aid Society.
Her husband, William K., whom she married Feb. 14, 1939, died Jan. 1, 1965.
She leaves a daughter, Sally Berkhouse of Champion; a sister, Mary Ferguson of Syracuse, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
A daughter, Nancy Liphart; two brothers, Ward and Paul Adams; and two sisters, Erma Amond and Grace Davis, are deceased.
Friends may call a half-hour before the service at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Ladies Aid Society of the church, 151 Center St. West, Champion 44483.
