JOSEPH A. PILLA, 76

YOUNGSTOWN -- A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Dominic Church for Joseph A. Pilla, 76, of 370 E. Auburndale Ave., who died Tuesday evening at home.

Mr. Pilla was born March 19, 1925, in Youngstown, a son of Achille and Rose Donofrio Pilla, and was a lifelong area resident.

He was an assembler at General Fireproofing for 43 years before retiring in 1985, and was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the church, ITAM Post 3 and the Bagnolese Club.

Besides his wife, the former Lena M. Zaccagnino, whom he married Jan. 18, 1947, he leaves a son, Richard J. of Canfield; a daughter, Jolyn M. Bush of Youngstown; a sister, Mary Thomas of Boardman; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A brother, Dominic, and a sister, Genevive Sinistro, are deceased.

There are no calling hours.

Arrangements are by Rossi Bros. Funeral Home, Boardman.
