CATHERINE J. WALDORF, 78

WARREN -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Church for Catherine J. Waldorf, 78, of 100 Asbury Lane, Apt. 2B, West Columbia, S.C., formerly of Warren, who died Tuesday morning in Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia.

Mrs. Waldorf was born April 4, 1923, in Ambridge, Pa., a daughter of Joseph L. and Margaret B. Murray McCabe. She moved to West Columbia from Warren four years ago.

A graduate of Newton Falls High School, she retired as a secretary for Republic Steel, and was a member of St. Joseph Church in Newton Falls and the Hestia Circle.

She leaves two daughters, Margaret C. Peters and Gretchen Calcutt, both of West Columbia; a son, Mark W. of Newton Falls; four sisters, Betty Mall of Montebello, Calif., Patricia Thompson of Mineral Ridge, Mary Ellen McCabe of Warren and Virginia Baran of Howland; two brothers, Regis McCabe of Brookville, Pa., and Thomas McCabe of Canfield; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Joseph and John McCabe, and a grandson, are deceased.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the church. Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are by James Funeral Home, Newton Falls.
