EDINBURG, Pa. -- Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at R. Cunningham Funeral Home in New Castle for Robert Llewellyn Pearsall, 81, of Countryside Estates, who died Sunday morning in Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle.
Mr. Pearsall was born Jan. 7, 1920, in New Castle, a son of Earl H. and Martha Thomas Pearsall.
He had worked at Reed Oil in New Castle and had been a credit manager for Carson Finance and Perelman's Jewelry, both in New Castle, and Beneficial Finance of Bradford, Pa.
He was a 1938 graduate of New Castle High School and attended New Castle Business College and Geneva College. A sergeant in the Army Air Forces during World War II, he served with the 66th Infantry Division.
He was a member of Lodge of the Craft 422 and Benevolent Protective Order of Elks 69, and was past commander of New Castle Consistory Legion of Honor. He was a Protestant.
Besides his wife, the former Dorothy Hackett, whom he married Dec. 26, 1941, he leaves two daughters, Roberta A. Miller of Pulaski and Jacquelyn L. Dagres of New Castle; a son, Richard L. of Yukon, Okla.; a brother, William C. of Ellwood City; two sisters, Jane V. Royal of North Lima and Gem Ann Grimes of Warren; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A sister, Catherine Kehm, is deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the Masons will have a service at 9 p.m. Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
