LILA A. LAYFIELD, 93

YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jersey Shore Cemetery, Jersey Shore, Pa., for Lila A. Layfield, 93, of Morgantown, formerly of Youngstown and Antes Fort, Pa., who died Sunday in Morgan Manor, Morgantown.

Mrs. Layfield was born April 5, 1908, in Centre County, Pa., a daughter of Emanuel T. and Ida Voneida Taylor.

She was a weaver for a silk mill in Jersey Shore, Pa., and was a member of Spruce Street United Methodist Church in Morgantown.

Her husband, Maurice E., died in 1983.

She leaves a daughter, Lois Wiles of Morgantown; a stepdaughter, Wanda Collier; two brothers, Leo and James Taylor, both in Pennsylvania; and 22 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Mahlon and Walter Taylor, are deceased.

Arrangements are by Hastings Funeral Home, Morgantown, W.Va. Contributions may be made to the church memorial fund, 386 Spruce Street, Morgantown, W.Va. 26505.
