AUSTINTOWN -- Kristen L. Anderson, 337 Greenbriar Drive, Cortland, became the bride of Nicholas B. Hewko, 121 Wolcott Drive, Boardman, in a ceremony at 1 p.m. May 19 at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church Byzantine Rite. Monsignor George Appleyard officiated for the daughter of Edward and Sandra Anderson of the Greenbriar Drive address and the son of Kathryn Hewko, 492 Shadydale Drive, Canfield, and the late Basil Hewko.
A reception was held at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman. After a honeymoon to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple live in Boardman.
Mrs. Hewko graduated from Kent State University with a degree in general studies and earned a certificate in education at Youngstown State University. She is a fourth-grade teacher at Lordstown Local Schools.
A teacher at Wilson High School, Youngstown, Mr. Hewko graduated with a bachelor's degree in education from YSU.
Accented with pearls and beading, the bride's gown was styled with a basque waist and a cathedral-length train.
Nancy Elkins, the bride's aunt, and Melissa Siet were honor attendants. Bridesmaids were Larissa Wolosyzn and Daria Cerimele, the groom's cousins, and Stephanie Elkins, her cousin. They wore platinum-colored dresses.
Best men were Brian Hewko, the groom's brother, and George Wolosyzn, his cousin. Groomsmen were Todd and Scott Anderson, the bride's brothers; Nick Wolosyzn, Michael Jenoff and Matt Dreboty, the groom's cousins; Ali Azarvan; Ryan Dobro; and Mike Aurin.
