Mercer county governments and agencies have secured nearly $115,000 in state Community Revitalization grants through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. The money will be used in economic development or community enhancement projects. Recipients are:
$20,000: Mercer County Grange Fair for facility improvements.
$20,000: Greenville Area Economic Development Corp. for improvements to the McNeilly Business Center.
$20,000: Mercer County Area Agency on Aging for the new geriatric center at its Hermitage facility and equipment replacement at its Greenville Senior center.
$10,000: Greenville borough for the Stefan Banic Memorial Skydiving Festival July 27-29.
$10,000: Greenville Symphony for cultural enrichment programming.
$9,945: South Pymatuning Township for improvements to the McCullough Run Athletic Complex.
$5,000: Clark borough for a new entrance to Henderson Taylor Community Park.
$5,000: Greenville borough to help with heating system improvements at the Greenville Airport hangar.
$5,000: Greenville Railroad Park and Museum to paint a large engine and coal tender.
$5,000: Mercer County Department of Public Safety to help buy a Mass Casualty Supply Trailer.
$5,000: Mercer County Historical Society for preservation projects.
