Shillings to mark jubilee aboard Gateway Clipper

BOARDMAN -- Mr. and Mrs. Ward Shilling, 7495 Salinas Trail, plan to observe their 50th wedding anniversary during an outing on the Gateway Clipper, Pittsburgh, later this summer.

The former Donna Whistler and Mr. Shilling were married June 10, 1951, at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Youngstown.

Their family includes their children and their spouses, Thomas and Bridget Shilling of Austintown and Donald Shilling and Karen and Pat Laverty, all of Boardman, and one granddaughter.

Mrs. Shilling retired in 1993 from Leased Pet Department, Boardman, where she was a sales clerk. She is a member of Boardman Christian Church.

A trust officer at Dollar Bank and National City Bank, Youngstown, Mr. Shilling retired in 1994. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War.
