CLASS B LEAGUE Boyes' 3-hitter, Antram's 2 RBIs key Roth win

Seth Antram's two-run single in the sixth inning snapped a 2-2 tie as Roth Brothers defeated Livi Steel.

STRUTHERS -- Chris Boyes pitched a three-hitter and was 2-for-3 with an RBI, as Roth Brothers topped Livi Steel 4-2 Friday in a Class B League baseball game at Cene Park.

Roth Brothers snapped a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning by scoring two runs. Matt Thompson and Jason Jablonske hit back-to-back singles and Kyle Barker walked to load the bases. With two away, Seth Antram hit a two-run single.

Jablonske led Roth Brothers with three singles. Antram hit a pair of singles.

Shane Davis tripled and scored on a single by Boyes, as Roth Brothers took a 1-0 lead in the first inning.

John Dechristofaro of Livi Steel walked, stole second and scored on a single by Jimmy Mitolo to tie the score in the third.

Livi Steel took a 2-1 lead in the fourth as Shawn Petrarca reached base on an error, stole second and came home on two more Roth Brothers' errors.

Antram singled for Roth Brothers in the fifth. He moved to second on a sacrifice and scored on an error.

Youngstown Express 2, Astro Falcons 0: Kevin Libeg scattered four hits and struck out three to pick up the win.

Travis D'Amico tripled home Erin Satterlee, who had singled and D'Amico came home on a single by Sean Curry in the sixth inning.

D'Amico, Curry and Dave Miller each had two hits.

Goldsteins 8, WW Heating 5: Goldsteins scored four runs in the second inning and two more in the third and held off a late rally by WW Heating.

Mike Tucci hit a triple and drove in three runs for Goldsteins. WW Heating was limited to three hits, one of them a triple by Chris Russo.

Alltel 6, Sluggers 5: Alltel, behind 3-0, broke the game open in the fifth inning as it scored six runs.

B.J. Shavers hit a double for Alltel, while Dan Cashon had two hits. Tom Banna hit a double and single for Sluggers.
