Smallmouth seminarat Books and Hooks
GIRARD - Books and Hooks fly fishing shop will host a Friday evening seminar on fly fishing for smallmouth bass. Gerald "Jerry" Darkes of Strongsville will be on hand June 15 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and will start his slide presentation at 6:15 p.m.
Darkes has 35 years of fly fishing experience in fresh and saltwater fly fishing and is a field editor for Midwest Fly Fishing magazine. He has had articles published in American Angler, Fly Tyer, Saltwater Fly Fishing, Warmwater Flyfishing and Wild Salmon and Steelhead and is currently featured on two local steelhead fly fishing videos, "Steelheading Made Simple" and "Cool Flies for Hot Fish."
In addition, Darkes also has helped in the design of a fly rod especially made for Ohio and Pennsylvania Great Lakes steelhead fishing.
