YOUNGSTOWN Control board

Published: Fri, June 1, 2001 @ 12:00 a.m.

The city's board of control -- the mayor, law director and finance director -- approved these items Thursday:

Severance of $11,935 for Newman Rezek, who retired April 28 as a mechanic at the police department.

Extended Krystal Klean's contract for one-year to clean city buildings, at $2,920 per month or $35,000 annually. Also, provided the company with a $5,000 technical assistance grant.

Agreed to contract with a paralegal for the law department through the end of the year. Virginia Faircloth of Youngstown will be paid $9 per hour, not to exceed $14,000.

Amended the contract with AMPCO Parking to exclude management of the city lot at Wick Avenue and Commerce Street, which now is the construction site for the new federal courthouse. The contract is reduced by $8,751, to $90,141.
