Barnes & amp; Noble Event
BOARDMAN -- On Friday at 7 p.m., local author Hollie VanHorne will return to Barnes & amp; Noble Booksellers to sign copies of her book "McKnight's Revenge." It is the fifth book in her Time Travelers Series.

Throwing a curve
Copernicus Books will be releasing a book on baseball in August. "Curve Ball: Baseball, Statistics and the Role of Chance in the Game" ($29.00) was written by Jim Albert, a professor of math and statistics at Bowling Green State University, and Jay Bennett, editor of "Statistics in Sport." The authors believe that a somewhat sophisticated approach to baseball statistics can increase one's appreciation of the game.
Books on tape
Audio Renaissance Tapes has released several audio books in the self-help/success category. Among them are "Emotional Alchemy," by Tara Bennett-Goleman and "The One-Minute Meditator," by David Nichol, M.D. and Bill Birchard.
