Mercer County

Cattle theft is the focus of Mercer County Crime Solvers this week:

Crime: Theft.Location: Rust Dairy at 2701 Orangeville Road, Masury, Ohio.Details: Police said someone stole 12 red and/or black angus/limo mixed calves from the dairy between May 25 and July 10. Contact: Call Crime Solvers between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at (724) 347-HELP. Or call Detective Peter Gibb of the Brookfield Police Department at (330) 448-6960. Callers do not have to give their names.Reward: Crime Solvers, a nonprofit organization, offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of anyone responsible for a serious crime in Mercer County. For this crime, the Trumbull Farm Bureau also is offering a $1,500 reward.
