Published: Fri, July 6, 2001 @ 12:00 a.m.

YOUNGSTOWN -- A Columbiana man who was in town reportedly to buy crack cocaine lost his 1993 Mitsubishi when it was taken on the South Side by a man who said he'd show him where to buy drugs.

The victim, 35, of Park Court, told police that he was driving on Oak Hill Avenue about 2:45 a.m. today and picked up the suspect. When they reached the 100 block of West Evergreen Avenue, they got out of the car.

Before the victim realized what was happening, the suspect got back into the car and drove off. The victim admitted to police that he has a crack addiction.
