Man dies in crash
BOARDMAN -- Joshua Powell, 21, of South Avenue, North Lima, died when his 1990 Ford Thunderbird crashed around 1:40 a.m. Sunday on Market Street near Newport Drive, just south of Midlothian Boulevard.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said as Powell failed headed north on Market, drove over to left side of the street, struck the curb, a tree and utility pole and continued on. His Thunderbird then struck two parking curbs, overturned and hit another utility pole, and the impact ejected him from the car, the patrol said. The car continued on, hitting a sign and tree and eventually came to rest on its roof.
