NORTH LIMA -- The engagement of Barbara A. McKim and John D. Yerkey, both of North Lima, is being announced by their parents.
Miss McKim, a daughter of Joseph A. McKim, 952 Franklin St., Salem, and Shirley A. Jindar, 12612 New Buffalo Road, attended Youngstown State University and is a network implementation manager with Tele-Communications Inc., Cleveland.
Gerald and Kaylene Yerkey, 9558 Woodworth Road, are parents of the future groom. He received his bachelor's degree from YSU and in August will graduate magna cum laude from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago with a doctor of chiropractic degree.
The couple have chosen Sept. 1 for their open wedding at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church in Youngstown. Invitations will be extended for their evening reception at Antone's Banquet Centre in Boardman.
