GROVE CITY, Pa. -- East Main Presbyterian Church provided the setting May 26 for the 3:30 p.m. wedding of Megan Rae Chanadet, daughter of Charles and Karen Chanadet of Grove City, and Joshua Michael Shaffer, son of Michael and Joyce Shaffer of Poland.
Dr. Donald Hoagland officiated.
A reception at The Franklin Club in Franklin, Pa., honored the couple before they left on a honeymoon to San Diego.
Honor attendant was Lindsay Pell of Franklin. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Timmons of Hammond, Ind., and Theresa Wilkinson of Kent, the groom's sister.
Serving as best man was Mark Wolsonovich of Youngstown. Groomsmen were Jason Hardy of Manassas, Va., and Jonathan Chanadet of Grove City, brother of the bride. Ushers were B.J. Hosler, Luca Georgi, Jim Miller and Ben Shaffer, all of Pittsburgh; Tim Robey of Lafayette, Calif.; and Philip Wilkinson of Kent, the groom's brother-in-law. Ring bearer was Eoghan Bees of Youngstown.
Also participating were Gordon Shaffer of Akron, the groom's grandfather; Jenna Beatty of Eau Claire, Pa., the bride's cousin; Kirk Englert of Dearborn, Mich.; and Michael Carlin and Susan Bellak, both of Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Shaffer earned a doctor of pharmacy degree at the University of Pittsburgh and is doing her pharmacy residency at Walgreen's Pharmacy in Deerfield, Ill.
The groom graduated from Pitt with a degree in materials science and engineering. He is materials science engineer at U.S. Steel in Gary, Ind. They live in Chicago.
