'Coach' star autographgraces Mad Jack's
BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) -- The west wall of Mad Jack's restaurant has a new addition: Craig T. Nelson's autograph.
Nelson, star of the sitcom "Coach," which aired from 1989-97, and the CBS drama "The District," was in the Brookings area recently for a family reunion, which drew 149 people to the city park in Volga.
"We just let him be a Nelson. I think he thoroughly enjoyed it," said Lynnal Nelson, whose husband is a distant cousin of the 57-year-old actor.
Nelson, his wife and three children spent time at a family farm and made several stops in Brookings, population of 18,504, including lunch at Cafe Ruby and the stop at Mad Jack's.
