POCANTICO HILLS, N.Y. -- The Church of the Magdalene was the setting at 3:30 p.m. June 24 as Dawna Maine Cole, 13 Weslar Court, Binghamton, N.Y., and Nerio Germinal Basso of New York City were married by the Rev. Joseph Dietz.
After a reception at the Castle-On-The-Hudson in Tarrytown, N.Y., the couple left on a wedding trip to Cannes, France, and Zurich, Switzerland. They will live in Westchester County, N.Y., and San Diego.
The bride, a daughter of Sarah Florence Maine, 59 Prestwick Drive, Youngstown, wore an ivory satin gown embellished with Alencon lace and pearl appliques.
Champagne-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Patricia Reybold of Norwalk, Conn., and the bridesmaids, Kay Lodin of New York City, Linda Starek of LaJolla, Calif., and Elaine Cannistra of Columbiana. Flower girl was Rachel Magerman of Philadelphia.
Best man was Cass Kurzinski of New York City, and groomsmen were Alan Magerman and Joel Magerman, both of Philadelphia, and Jerry Starek of LaJolla. Ring bearer was Jake Magerman of Philadelphia.
The bride, a registered nurse, attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., and graduated from Case Western Reserve in Cleveland with a bachelor's degree in nursing.
The groom holds a master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is president and chief executive officer at NBG Engineers in New York City.
