YOUNGSTOWN -- Brandy Lynn Brooks of Austintown and James Milton Hynes of Girard were married at 2 p.m. May 26 at St. Christine Church by Monsignor David W. Rhodes.
The couple's parents are Mary Beth Brooks and Barry E. Brooks, both of Austintown, and James and Joanne Hynes of Girard.
After a reception at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre, Liberty, the couple left for a honeymoon cruise to the U.S. Virgin Islands. They live in Austintown.
The couple are employed by the MetroPlex. She attended Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, and is pursuing a degree in social work at Youngstown State University. He is majoring in computer science at Kent State University.
Pearled satin appliques embellished the bride's organza gown styled with a sweetheart neckline and cathedral train.
Honor attendant was Lisa Bloomberg, the bride's cousin. Bridesmaids were Jennifer and Courtney Saunders, her cousins; Jodi Walters and Jayne Shultz, the groom's sisters; and Jessica Crook, Shannon Genhart, Sherrie Guinn, Patti Kolias and Shawn Miller. They wore silver and black dresses. Junior bridesmaid was Ashleigh Foster, her cousin, and flower girl was Jordan Walters, his niece.
Michael Bloom was best man. Groomsmen were Sean Walters and William Shultz, the groom's brothers-in-law; Louis Pela, his cousin; Scott Dority, Mike Kolias, Chris Lovell, John Murphy, Bob Seiler and Jason Vari. Junior groomsman was Brent Saunders, the bride's cousin, and ring bearer was Anthony Kempe, his cousin.
