RECOGNITION CWV post, auxiliary receive awards at annual convention

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- The John J. Buckley Post 1292 and Auxiliary of Youngstown received several awards during an annual Catholic War Veterans, USA, Inc., convention held Aug. 12-20 at the Clarion Hotel.
To the auxiliary: A first-place citation and monetary gift were presented to AnnaMae Bielik, ritual officer, for her ritual program in the 15 to 30 category, and a citation was given to Donna Stosich for her welfare program.
Anne M. Hosa, unit president and representative for the Youngstown VA Clinic and Brecksville VA Hospital, was the recipient of a gift for her public relations and publicity program, and received a citation and monetary gift for her Department of Ohio work.
Receiving personal gifts for their volunteer work at the Youngstown VA Clinic were Bielik, Dora Bindas, Peg Bresko, Irene Galambossy, Anne M. Hosa, Dorothy Schultz and Shirley Williams.
Post honors: Joseph J. Hosa, first vice commander, earned a first-place plaque for his Americanism program and a citation for his catholic action program.
Receiving a citation for the best membership program was James Waschak, second vice commander.
The next CWV national convention was scheduled for August 2002 in Milwaukee, Wis.
