Surman-Freer wedding is set for Oct. 27



WILLOUGHBY -- Announcement of the engagement of Lisa Renee Surman and Josef Dwayne Freer, both of 2260 Par Lane, is being made by their parents.
The future bride is a daughter of Bernice and Charles O'Neil of Canfield and Joseph and Janie Surman of Austintown. Mr. Freer is a son of Ronald and Toni Freer of East Palestine.
The couple's open ceremony will take place at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 27 at St. Anne Ukrainian Byzantine Church in Austintown. A reception by invitation will be held that evening at The Georgetown in Boardman.
Miss Surman holds a master's degree in criminal justice from Kent State University and is employed as a federal probation officer with the U.S. District Court in Cleveland.
Her fiance graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed at Swaglok in Concord and also is a first lieutenant and commander of a U.S. Army Reserve unit in Warrensville.
