Summary of police activity:

CANFIELD CITY

Aug. 12

Arrest : A 25-year-old Cortland man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia including two pipes, a plastic bag of suspected marijuana and three open beer bottles on North Broad Street.

Aug. 13

Criminal trespass: The daughter of a family in a residence in the 200 block of Topaz Circle called police to report suspected trespassers were in the upstairs of her home while her parents checked it out. A gold car was seen leaving the driveway of the home.

AUSTINTOWN TOWNSHIP

Aug. 12

Criminal damaging: Two windows were damaged at Lynn Kirk Elementary School, 4271 Evelyn Road.

Auto theft: A 1989 Chevrolet was stolen in the 1000 block of North Canfield-Niles Road.

Attempted auto theft: The steering column on a 1989 Chevrolet Camaro was damaged in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Criminal trespass: A man was arrested for trespassing at Fountain Square Apartments, 4222 New Road.

OxyContin: Seventy OxyContin/Hydrocodine pills were found in an unmarked prescription bottle at the intersection of Mahoning Avenue and Forest Hill Drive.

Aug. 13

Theft: A compact disc stereo was stolen from a car in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.

Criminal damaging: A pickup truck window was damaged in the 1000 block of Birchtrace Drive.

Auto theft: A 1995 Cadillac was stolen on approximately Aug. 10 from Greenwood Chevrolet, 4695 Mahoning Avenue.

Theft: Money was reported taken from the desk drawer of Briarfield Manor, 461 S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Aug. 14

Theft: Compact discs were taken from a vehicle parked at a residence in the 3000 block of Monaca Avenue.

Theft: A cashier was shortchanged at Fuel Mart, 5301 Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: An axle puller was rented and not returned at Taylor Rental, 5020 Mahoning Avenue.

Theft: A gasoline drive-off was reported at True North, 560 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Drugs were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 90 block of Kenmar Court.

Theft: A compact disc case was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 3000 block of Wendover Avenue.

Theft: Two bicycles, including a 20-inch and a 26-inch Huffy, were stolen from Westchester Apartments, 4813 Westchester Drive.

Theft: A 20-inch Next bicycle was stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Rosemont Avenue.

Theft: A lady's purple purse was reported stolen in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Aug. 15

Theft: An in-dash compact disc player and a speaker were stolen from a vehicle parked at Denny's, 4927 Mahoning Avenue.

Theft: Beer was reported stolen from True North, 3270 S. Meridian Road.

Theft: A CB radio was stolen from a vehicle parked at the Days Inn, 1051 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Burglary: A residence was entered while the victim was sleeping in the 1000 block of Maplecrest Drive and items were stolen from a purse.

Theft: A gas cap was stolen from a vehicle and a substance put in a gas tank in the 500 block of Impala Drive.

Auto theft: A 1992 Chevrolet Camaro was reported stolen by a juvenile suspect with no Ohio license from Greenwood Chevrolet, 4695 Mahoning Avenue.

Theft: A gold chain and bracelet were reported stolen from an apartment in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Breaking and entering: Tools were stolen from a garage in the 5000 block of West Webb Road.

Auto theft: A 1990 Geo Prizm was stolen in the 3000 block of New Road.

Breaking and entering: Soda pop and snacks were stolen from the 600 block of North Raccoon Road.

Aug. 16

Theft: A cellular phone was stolen from someone at the Skate Zone, 5420 Mahoning Avenue.

Attempted theft: Suspects attempted to steal a four-wheeler from Leppo Equipment, 870 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Criminal damaging: A windshield was broken in the 300 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Theft: A bicycle was stolen in the 1000 block of Maplecrest Drive.

Theft: The driver's side lock was removed and a stereo taken from a vehicle parked at Hillbrook Apartments, 430 S. Raccoon Road.

Burglary: A PlayStation was taken from the 1000 block of Fountain Square.

Aug. 17

Theft: A cellular phone was stolen from the 5000 block of Calloway Circle.

Theft: A wallet was stolen from Phoenix House, 850 N. Meridian Road.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged and its tires flattened in the 3000 block of Forty-second St.

Aug. 18

Theft: A Sony AM-FM, in-dash compact disc player and six compact discs were stolen from a vehicle at The Mill, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: Unauthorized telephone calls were made using a phone card in the 6000 block of New Road.

Theft: $90 in cash was reported stolen from Regal Cinema, 6020 Mahoning Avenue.

Burglary: A ring and cat were stolen from a residence in the 3000 block of Allendale Avenue.
