Police arrest two at The Mill Club

Published: Fri, August 17, 2001 @ 12:00 a.m.

AUSTINTOWN -- Two people were arrested this morning outside of The Mill Club on South Raccoon Road after screaming obscenities at and attacking officers, police said.

A 21-year-old Mineral Ridge man was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after trying to break free from police in the Wedgewood Plaza parking lot around 12:40 a.m., police said.

According to the report, the man was removed from the club by security guards, then yelled obscenities at the three officers outside.

The man's 19-year-old girlfriend, from Warren, dug her fingernails into the left arm of an officer trying to make the arrest, police said. She was pulled to the ground by another officer, whom she elbowed in the face, the report stated.

The woman was charged with a felony count of assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.
