Surprise party held to honor Yeagers for 60th

CANFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. Myron Yeager, 355 S. Broad St., were honored at a surprise celebration Aug. 5 at Colonial Catering on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary.

Hosts for the festivity were the honorees' children, Janet Stanwood of Canfield and Howard Yeager of Fontana, Calif., their two grandchildren and their spouses and a great-granddaughter.

The former Dora Paulin and Mr. Yeager were married Aug. 8, 1941, at West Austintown Evangelical parsonage.

Mr. Yeager retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Co. of Youngstown in 1979 after 38 years of service. He also retired from the U.S. Army Reserves after 37 years of service. Mr. Yeager is a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and American Legion Post 77.

Mrs. Yeager is a homemaker.

They are members of Christ's Church in Boardman.
