TRIBE NOTES

From Texas

Nailed: The Rangers had been successful on 15 straight steal attempts until Frank Catalanotto was thrown out at second by Indians catcher Einar Diaz in the fifth inning.

Split: The Indians have split their last 30 games and are 4-3 against the Rangers this season.

Central woes: Texas is 8-20 against the AL Central this season, losing their first nine series of the season against that division.

Ranger woes: Texas had lost seven of its previous nine.

Long game: Indians starter Steve Woodard had his longest outing of the season.

Streak snapped: Rangers starter Doug Davis had lost all three previous starts to the Indians.
