AARP 3104

XCanfield Chapter 3104, AARP, will meet for the annual picnic at 1 p.m. Monday at Fair Park in Canfield. Members whose last names begin with A to H should take casseroles and I to Z, salads. All members should provide their own table service. A mystery trip will leave at 3:30 p.m. Thursday from Canfield Middle School parking lot and return at 12:30 a.m. The fall foliage trip is planned for Oct. 10, and Nov. 12-15 will be the New York trip. Plans also are being completed for a Dec. 9 trip to Riverside Dinner Theatre. Payments for the trips should be made at the picnic. For information call Lucille Bernard, (330) 533-6071. There will be no directors' meeting in August.

AARP 3105

XStruthers Chapter 3105, AARP, will meet Aug. 15 at The Embassy with Harold Milligan presiding. Reservations must be made by Saturday. Checks should be sent to Laverne Cox, 241 Manor Ave., Struthers, Ohio 44471. New members are welcome. Illness and death among members should be reported to Priscilla Boland, (330) 542-3322.

AJAX MAGNETHERMIC

XRetirees of Ajax Magnethermic will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at The Gatsby. Guests are welcome.

CAMPBELL

XCampbell Seniors will not meet in August. The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 4 at The Oak View. A board meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 21 at the Tandy Complex. Sue Reichert, trip coordinator, is reminding members that reservations and deposits are due for the following trips: Sept. 11, Niagara Falls and Fort Erie, and Oct. 1-5, Wildwood, N.J. There are seats available for both trips. Call Mrs. Reichert, (330) 755-9184, for information.

CHRIST CHURCH

XChrist Church Seniors of Christ Church Presbyterian will meet at noon Wednesday at Bostwick Hall for a picnic. Reservations for the lunch are due by Monday by calling the church, (330) 782-2611. Visitors are welcome.

DEMARILLAC

XDeMarillac Seniors will meet at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Wick Park Pavilion with Ada Holliday to continue making tracheotomy bibs to be to be distributed to cancer patients after trachea surgery.

The Creative Craft Group will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the pavilion with Irene Pauli in charge of the snowman project. Anyone interested in participating in either group is welcome to attend.

DOLLAR BANK RETIREES

XDollar Bank Retirees will hold a picnic Aug. 15 at Boardman Township Park. Reservations are due by Wednesday to Mary Hanna.

GIRARD

XGirard Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Girard Senior Center, North State Street.

HAPPY DAYS

XA meeting of Happy Days Seniors will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 388 Midlothian Blvd. Entertainment will be by Little Joe. Hosts will be Mary and Michael Parsbo and June and Harold Bell. Blood pressure screenings will be available.

JCC

XThe menu for the senior adult program at the Jewish Community Center is as follows: Monday, bread, split pea soup, South Sea chicken salad, baked potato and plain gelatin; and Wednesday, chicken noodle soup, sub sandwich, picnic potato salad and cherry tart. LIBERTY SENIORS

XLiberty Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Churchill United Methodist Church for a potluck dinner. Participants should take their favorite casseroles and table service. Coffee and tea will be provided. Hosts for August are Charlotte Gratz, Lil Begeot and Wilda and Ken Clifton. Trips planned are a summer mystery tour Aug. 15; Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and the Great Smoky Mountains Sept. 17-20; Cook Forest and Allegheny National Forest fall foliage, Kinzua Dam, Blair Outlet and Deer Ranch Oct. 11; and holiday show at Carousel Dinner Theatre Dec. 1. LOCAL 64

XIBEW, Local 64, Electrician Retirees will hold a corn roast at noon Wednesday at the multipurpose room in Boardman Township Park.

LOCAL 2243

XRetirees of United Steelworkers of America, Solidarity USA, Local 2243, Copperweld Steel Co., will hold an annual picnic Wednesday at the Union Hall, 3779 Mahoning Ave. N.W. A catered lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Current active members may attend. The cost for guests is $7.50.

MAHONING BANK RETIREES

XMahoning National Bank Retirees will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday for a luncheon at Bobby D's in Youngstown. All retirees and their spouses may attend.

MARTHA LUPSE

XBridge, 500, chess, checkers and shuffleboard will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 105 at Poland United Methodist Church. Janet Pusser will lead devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch. Coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. MCDONALD SENIORS

XMcDonald Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Woodland Park United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Those attending should take a sack lunch. The topic will be Friendship Day.

MOUNT CARMEL

XOur Lady of Mount Carmel Seniors will hold its annual picnic Wednesday in the church social hall following the noon Mass. There is no charge for paid-up members.

ST. NICHOLAS SENIORS

XSt. Nicholas Seniors will meet for a luncheon at 11 a.m. Aug. 14 at the Father Petric social hall with LaVerne Cox presiding. Reservations are required by Tuesday by sending a check for $7 to St. Nicholas Seniors, 480 Poland Ave., Apt. 2, Struthers, Ohio 44471. Only those with reservations may attend. ST. ROSE

XSt. Rose senior parishioners will hold an annual corn and wiener roast at noon Thursday in the lower church. The event is open to paid-up members only. Officers and committee chairmen are asked to take cakes and should arrive by 9:30 a.m. to prepare for the event. A trip to Belterra Casino is planned Aug. 19 and 20. The cost is $79 and includes three buffets. For information call (330) 743-7399.

SAXON RETIREES

YSU RETIREES

XYoungstown State University Retirees will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Country Kitchen Restaurant, Boardman.

YOUNG AT HEART

XYoung at Heart Seniors of Immaculate Conception Church will hold a catered picnic at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Roosevelt Park Pavilion 4. Members will pay $5, and guests will pay $7.50. Nonmembers are welcome. Members are asked to take a wrapped prize for bingo. Reservations should be made to Dom Malatok, (330) 788-4302, as soon as possible.
