Open house will honor Witmer jubilee

SALEM -- Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Witmer, 7721 W. Pine Lake Road, will be the guests of honor during an open house reception to be held in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The event is planned from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Dutch Village Inn in Columbiana. Hostesses will be the honorees' children, Ellen Bowman of Bally, Pa.; Irene Rhodes of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Miriam Reesor of Markham, Ontario, Canada; Grace Styer of Greenford; Sharon Landis of Arlington, Va.; Rachel Martin of Akron, Pa.; Nelson Witmer of Salem; Wayne Witmer of Harrisonburg, Va.; and Rebecca O'Connor of London, England; and their 24 grandchildren.
The former Doris Blosser and Mr. Witmer were married Aug. 16, 1951, at Midway Mennonite Church in Columbiana.
Mrs. Witmer is an owner/partner in the Dutch Cupboard in Columbiana and is retired as hostess at Das Dutch Haus Restaurant.
Mr. Witmer is the owner of Witmer's Inc. and is a partner in Das Dutch Haus Restaurant and Dutch Village Inn in Columbiana. He is a member of Greenford Ruritan.
Mr. and Mrs. Witmer are members of Midway Mennonite.
