The Bazetta Township trustees handled these matters during their meeting Monday:
Heard Police Chief Robert Jacola report that the department handled 54 arrests, 75 incident reports and five traffic accidents during March. He also noted that a cruiser involved in an accident will require $1,000 in repairs.
Approved buying up to $1,500 in mulch for the township park. Park board representative Beth Barnes said this supply of mulch should last for four years.
Agreed to pay Office Max $249.99 for a HP Fax machine for the administration building.
Accepted $300 from the Optimist Club and $200 from resident Ron Miller as donations for the Bazetta Volunteer Firefighters Association.
Reminded residents that the Cortland-Bazetta Rotary Club Easter Egg hunt will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the township park.
Scheduled a hearing for 6 p.m. April 16 at the township hall on a request from Michael and Stephanie Hovis to change the zoning at 3488 state Route 5 from residential to commercial.
Approved adding a $400 ice shield to the roof of the fire station on McCleary Jacoby Road while the roof is being re-shingled.
